On March 28, 2002 Route 66 Corvette Club of the Midwest Region donated $500.00 to the New York Police & Fire Widows' & Children's Benefit Fund. Route 66 Corvette Club has been a supporters of Backstoppers of St. Louis, our local chapter, since our club's inception. After September 11th, our club voted to make our donation this year to the New York Chapter of this fine organization. We look foward to our continued support of Backstoppers and all the excellent support they provide the families of our nation's heroes.

The Corvette Club of Iowa has donated $700.00 to the American Red Cross to assist in the relief effort for the victims and victims' family members of the events that occurred in New York, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania. Funds were raised from donations from club members, car show proceeds, and club treasury.

At our September Club Meeting, our membership voted to send a total of $1,200 to three organizations which are actively helping those Americans who suffered great personal loss on Sept. 11, 2001. We sent $400 respectively to: The Silver Shield Foundations (Funds assist families of firefighters and police officers, this donation goes specifically to the New York City area.), The Red Cross Disaster Relief in New York City and the Red Cross in Washington, D.C.. Or thoughts and prayers go out to all whose lives have been touched by 
these horrific events.....

The USA-1 Corvette Club has a raffle car that will be given away on Nov. 2, it's a 2001 Impala LS. We are taking $1.00 per ticket sold through our web site and are donating it to the American Red Cross. Tickets are $10 each or three for $25, with only 4000 tickets being sold. We are doing a display of the car in local shopping mall and hope to sell the last half of the tickets in the remaining time.

Windy City Corvettes wishes to announce that we have donated $1100.00 to the McCormick Tribune Foundation which grants donations directly to East Coast victims and their families. We had Austin Corvette Day this weekend. We had a total of 236 Corvettes show up for the show. The kids sold small American Flags, with the proceeds going to the American Red Cross totaling in excess of $600. We made about $17,000 for Make-A-Wish. This whole week makes you sit back and re-assess your priorities, and made me realize how much everyone across this great country have really come together.
For those who missed the F1 race in Italy, Ferrari ran their cars without
sponsorship and only a black nose. No decals on the cars or patches on the drivers suits. McLaren donated $10M to the fund for the families. The whole world has been affected.

At the National meeting this last weekend, the Grants Portion of the Charity committee with the blessings of the governors present will be donating $1000 to the Police Assn in NY for those deceased members families. (Patrick Dolan is a retired policeman). And, winner of the 50/50 raffle donated his winnings, in its entirety, to that group as well.
