Welcome to the new look and feel of your Web Site!

What's New?      What's Updated?

August 18, 2004

As of today, your NCCC Web Site Home Page has taken on a different look and a little bit different feeling.  Did you notice that the new Home Page no longer has a date showing when the site was last UPDATED or whether any link is NEW or UPDATED?  What's new to you may not be new to someone else. New Browsers to the Web Site do not require knowledge of the last updates or whether information is new....everything is new to them! However, those Browsers that check out the NCCC Web Site regularly.... and I'm sure there are lots of you....don't have time to check all the Pages to discover any new or updated information.
After all...
**When is NEW information no longer new?
**When does UPDATED information no longer require an icon indicating it has been updated?
**If Information was NEW yesterday and UPDATED today, does it require a NEW and an UPDATED notation?

These questions are some of the reasons for the NEW link on the Home Page:
What's on the NCCC Web Site?
If you take some time and familiarize yourself with the entire NCCC Web Site, each time you visit in the future you need only check the What's New link to see if there are any significant changes since your last visit.  Check out the Link now so you can see what information it will contain.

To be sure you have done your initial browsing so you can best use the What's New link, I have entered a "What's New Question" on one of the NCCC Web Site Pages. Those who find the Question and e-mail me the correct answer along with their name and NCCC Number before September 8, 2004 will be entered into a drawing for a special prize. The winner will be drawn from all correct entries at the National Governors Meeting in St. Louis, MO on September 11, 2004. The winner does not have to be present at the meeting to win and will be notified by e-mail if not present.  Non-NCCC Members, E-Board Members and their families are invited to enter but they are not eligible to win.
~The winner on September 11, 2004 of the first Web Site Contest was Mike VanWinkle, Governor of the Delco Electronics Corvette Club in the Indiana Region. Mike won two C5 Logo Ceramic Mugs.
~The Contest Question appeared at the bottom of the National Meeting Dates and Locations for 2004 and 2005 page as:

Thanks to all who entered...more contests to come!!

Back in 1998 when Laurie "Tex" Schwab first sat down to create and launch this site I am sure she had as many ideas and questions then as I also have today.  The first years she maintained pages for the Regions as well and that had to be an overwhelming task at times. I am certainly happy that all of the NCCC Regions now have their own Web Sites. Over the past 6 years, she has brought you a very fine Web Site and I hope to keep up the tradition. I also plan to implement some new ideas and add additional important information when needed. I hope to start a networking of ideas and communication among myself, the Regional Webmasters and Club Webmasters.  I am a firm believer that no one person knows everything.

I look forward to working with all of you and welcome your ideas and comments.
